William Ace Morgan, age 75 of Newport, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, at the ProMedica Regional Hospital of Monroe.

Born September 5, 1946, in Monroe. He was the son of the late Delbert and Georgia (Hopper) Morgan. Bill graduated from Monroe High School in 1964. Bill then proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 66’ to 70’, during the Vietnam War. He later continued his education at Wayne State University.

Bill met and married the love of his life: Chyrel Fisher on September 22, 1997, at their home in Monroe. They raised their family and spent over 25 wonderful years together.

Bill made his living working at the Trenton Engine Plant as a Pipe Fitter for over 30 years before retiring. In his free time, Bill’s passion was restoring cars at home. He was known for driving his old 40’s Roadster around town, that he built himself. He could customize, paint, and detail any car. Bill was also a huge animal lover. He enjoyed feeding the birds, cats, raccoons, and opossums. He also worked with leather and embossing them for ones he loved. Bill will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of his loved ones.

Beloved husband of Chyrel Fisher Morgan. Loving father of Steven Pierce, Bill Morgan, Daniel (Rochelle) Johnson, and Dana Johnson. Dearest grandfather of Alyson Pierce, Steven Pierce II, and Hayden Johnson. Dear brother of Larry Morgan and Jim (Patricia) Morgan.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by siblings: Floella Valentine, Lee Morgan, and Dannie Younglove.

In accordance with the families wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be on Friday, May 20, 2022, at Rupp Funeral Home from 3:30 to 8:00 pm. A memorial service and a VFW Honor Guard service will begin at 7:00 pm. Officiating is Elder Diane Adams.
