Violet M. Barton

Violet Marie Barton, age 95 of Monroe, passed away the morning of Tuesday March 21, 2023 at Wellsprings Nursing Home.
Violet was born March 14, 1928 in Monroe, MI to the late Garold and Edna (Foster) Bosenbark. She worked for many years at Michigan Bell and Ohio Bell, from roughly 1946-1983. She would go on to meet and marry the love of her life, James A. Barton, on September 25, 1950. Sadly, James passed away in 2014.
In her spare time, Violet loved to knit. She was very skilled in making clothing and created both her granddaughter’s dresses. Once her and James retired, they moved to Sebring, FL for 25 years, returning to Michigan in 2009.
To cherish her memory, Violet leaves her son, Terry Barton; and two granddaughters: Brittany Barton of Illinois and Brandi Barton of Dundee.
Along with her parents and husband, Violet is preceded in death by her son, Glen Barton.
In accordance with Violet’s wishes, cremation will occur and a memorial will be held at a later date.
