Vincent S. Banks

November 29, 1934-February 5, 2021

Vincent Spencer Banks, age 86 of Howell, formerly of Monroe, passed away the morning of Friday February 5, 2021.

Vincent was born November 29, 1934 in Monroe, MI as one of two children from the union of the late William H. and Florence (Spencer) Banks. He earned his diploma upon graduating from Monroe High School. Vincent would go on to marry Barbara J. Barron on June 6, 1959 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Monroe.

Vincent served proudly in the United Stated Navy. Upon being honorably discharged, he started a long career at Michigan Bell, retiring in 1989 after 34 years. Vincent enjoyed local history, railroads, steam engines, classic cars, and woodworking.

To cherish his memory, Vincent leaves his dear wife of 61 loving years, Barbara; loving children, Daniel (Shauna) Banks and Karen Banks; adoring grandchildren, Andrew, Marcus, and Rebecca; and great-granddaughter Sophia Banks.

Vincent was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Diane Banks; and his brother, Gordon Banks.

Due to COVID considerations, no services will be held at this time. A summertime graveside service will be announced at a later date.
