Steven Scheich Obituary

Steven W. Scheich
November 4, 1982-April 5, 2023

Steven William Scheich, age 40 of Dundee, passed away the morning of Wednesday April 5, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at the Hospice of Lenawee County. He had fought a long and courageous battle with brain cancer.

Steve was born November 4, 1982 in Monroe, MI to Jeffrey and Deborah (Wagenknecht) Scheich. He went on to graduate high school from Monroe High, followed by The University of Toledo, where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. Steve would go on to marry the love of his life, Amanda Ferguson, on November 7, 2014. He worked as an Operations Manager for Thomson Reuters.

In his spare time, Steve enjoyed playing guitar with friends in their band King Coil, brewing beer, and fishing; but the best days for Steve were always pool days. Above all else, Steve loved spending time with his family, particularly his wife, his son, and their Newfoundland, River.

To cherish his memory, Steve leaves his loving wife, Amanda; his son, Westley; his parents, Jeffrey and Deborah Scheich; his sister, Sarah (Matt) Sucheck; and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Steve’s wishes, cremation and a private burial of his ashes will occur at Rath Cemetery, followed by a celebration of life at a later date.

Anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in Steve’s honor are asked to please consider the American Brain Tumor Association.
