October 3, 1931 – April 20, 2022

Stella Poskey, 90, of Monroe passed away at home on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

Born Stella Jean Albinack on October 3, 1931, she was the daughter of Joseph and Rose Albinack. Stella attended St. Mary’s Academy and spent her early career with AT&T and later was employed by Green Meadows Golf Course retiring in 1990.

She married Jay T. Poskey on July 24, 1954 at St. Mary’s Church. She served as a general member of the Christian Women’s Group volunteering at the monthly soup luncheons. She also served St. Mary’s as a Eucharistic Minister at ProMedica Hospital.

Stella is survived by her daughters, Cheryl A. Koning and Bonnie Poskey; and her grandchildren, Thomas and Michelle Koning.

In addition to her husband and parents, Stella was preceded in death by three sisters: Kathy, Mary, and Rosemarie; and a brother, Joseph.

In accordance with Stella’s wishes there will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be held for immediate family.

Arrangements are being handled by Rupp Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Foundation or Hospice of Michigan.
