Sherman Keck, age 80 of Monroe, passed away the evening of Saturday July 3, 2021 at The Toledo Hospital.

Sherman was born October 29, 1940 in Tazewell, TN to the late Ballard M. and Laura N. (Carey) Keck. He would spend over 30 years working for The Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1997. He married the love of his life, Barbara J. Essary, on May 6, 1959 in Monroe, MI. Sadly, Barbara has already passed away.

Sherman was a member of the Masonic Lodge #27 in Monroe, MI, the Scottish Rite of Detroit, and the Shriners of Michigan. In his spare time, Sherman loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Family and friends may visit from 3-7pm on Wednesday July 7, 2021 at Rupp Funeral Home, where a celebration of Sherman's life will be held at 11am on Thursday July 8, 2021. The service will begin with a Masonic Service, and then Rev. Larry Detruf will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.

To cherish his memory, Sherman leaves his son, Randy (Mettie) Keck; sister, Opha Stansberry; four grandchildren: Samantha (Kyle) Savett, Tabitha, Luke, and Laura Keck; two great grandchildren, Kolton and Sha; and daughter in law, Theresa Keck.

Along with his parents and wife, Sherman is also preceded in death by his son, Sherman Mark Keck, and brother, Clay Keck.
