Richard E. Fix age 76, of Hartland, MI formerly of Monroe, MI passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2022.

Richard was born on April 27, 1945, in Monroe. He was the son of Woodrow and Mary (Keefe) Fix. He attended Hall of Divine Child School and was a 1964 graduate from Catholic Central, Monroe.

As a youngster, Richard helped his father care for over 1,000-acres of land at St. Mary's Farm. He was an advisor through Jr. Achievement 4H and also a Pack Leader for Cub Scouts. Later in life, he ran several restaurants and owned The Fireside Inn in Conover, Wisconsin.  Richard was a plant manager and consultant for multiple auto companies. He loved to fish, golf, cook, and travel but his favorite thing to do was spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his life partner, Karen Wyman; children, Teri (John) Fix, Thomas (Jackie) Fix, Todd (Wendy) Fix, Tammie (Jim) Ray, Tracie (Pete) Nabozny, Ann (Dwayne) Wunrow; 17 grandchildren; brothers, David Fix, Robert (Sandra) Fix, and Kenneth (Melva) Fix; 

Visitation for Richard will be on Friday, April 1, 2022, at Rupp Funeral Home, Inc., Monroe, MI from 1:00-8:00PM. He will lie instate at 10:00AM Saturday, April 2, 2022, at St. Mary's Church and the Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00AM. Following the Mass, Rich will be buried in St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe, MI.
