Phyllis Marie Scott-Butler
October 31, 1929 – July 25, 2021
Phyllis Scott-Butler of Monroe, MI passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 25, 2021. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, George Butler Sr.
The pride of her life was her family–her recently deceased husband, her three children, Lassie (Jim) Webster, Darlene Taig, and George (Colleen) Butler Jr., and her five generations of grandchildren: five grandsons and two granddaughters; three great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters; and one great-great-grandson.
Her love of cooking, baking, and canning for her family was renowned. She knew what each person loved, and made them what they liked best–her pies were prized by all! She will be remembered by her family as being unwavering in her kindness, quick with a warm smile, and always willing to lend a helping hand.
She is survived by her one sister Patricia (George) Satterfield and preceded in death by three sisters, six brothers, and her son-in-law Larry Taig. She will be grievously missed by her family, including many nieces, nephews and cousins, and her devoted neighbors and friends.
