Michael William Beach, age 49, of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti on Sunday, August 22, 2021.
 
Mike was born on June 10, 1972, in Monroe. He attended and graduated with the class of 1991 from Monroe High School. Mike made his living as a truck driver until a catastrophic injury on the job left him paralyzed.
On July 14, 2007 Mike married Holly Whitman, in De Rivera Park at Put-In-Bay, Ohio.
 
Despite facing many obstacles in life after his injury Mike loved life and chose to live it to the very fullest. A truck driver at heart he was always ready for travel and hitting the open road often vacationing in his “home away from home” Wears Valley, Tennessee. From early on in life, Mike had a passion for boating and being on Lake Erie. Having many fond memories of growing up as a “Monroe Boat Club kid” he became a member of the club in 2008. A motorsport enthusiast, Mike also enjoyed trail riding on his side by side.

Although his time on this earth was short, Mike’s  most treasured moments were time spent with family and friends .He was loved by many and will greatly be missed.

To cherish his memory, Mike leaves his loving wife, Holly; his mother, Patricia Beach; a son, Corey Beach, three daughters: Kellse (Bryant) Boatman, Alexis Beach, and Makayla Beach; two siblings: David (Laralee) Beach and Cheryl Pack; his mother-in- law, Kathy Whitman; a brother in law, Mark (Lindsay) Whitman; and a sister in law, Krista (Cory) Blanchard.  Grandchildren, Easton and Carson Boatman who lovingly referred to him as “Pops” and Katarina Mae Beach; nephews and nieces Tyler, Luke, Corbin, Colton, Chase, Rachel and Tricia.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Beach and his father-in-law, Mark Whitman.
