Jeanne Margaret Cominess, age 97 of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at the Fountainview Nursing Home.

Born June 10, 1926 in Monroe. Jeanne was one of three children of the late George and Ethel Mae (Upham) Friedline. She was raised on a farm with her two siblings. After school, she became a Rosie the Riveter, working at Willow Run Bomber Plant during WWII.

Jeanne met and married the love of her life: Wesley C. Cominess on June 10, 1944 in Monroe. She was a loving homemaker to her husband. They spent over 68 wonderful years together before Wesley sadly passed away in 2012.

Jeanne enjoyed spending quality time with her family, as well as cats. In her free time, she liked to be in her garden beds planting roses and peonies.  Jeanne will be remembered for being a hard worker and having a feisty personality.

Beloved aunt of Walter Friedline, Edward (Crystal) Friedline, Andrew (Yvonne) Friedline, Susan (Graham) Currie, and Sharon Friedline. Also survived by many great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by husband: Wesley Cominess; siblings: Elizabeth Friedline and Norman Friedline, and nephew: William Friedline.

In accordance with her wishes, a private burial will take place on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Rath Cemetery in Monroe. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to www.ruppfuneralhomeinc.com
