Harry Allen Younglove, 79 of Monroe, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home on Saturday, March 20, 2021.

Born September 10, 1941 in Monroe, he was the son of the late Stacy and Ruth (Sweeney) Younglove. Harry graduated from Monroe High School in 1961. He later continued his education at Monroe County Community College.

Harry met and married the love of his life: Diane Hoagland. They got married on June 29, 1963 in Scofield Methodist Church in Maybee, MI. They raised a family of four children and spent over 58 wonderful years together.

Harry made his living working at General Motor Company. He was an Assembly Line worker at the Ypsilanti plant for 31 years before retiring in 2001. He moved to Texas later and then volunteered at Habitat for Humanity.

Harry was a former member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church of Monroe. He was a member of the Monroe County Camera Club for his love of photography. When Harry lived in Texas, he was in a camping club. He loved to camp with his trailer with his camping friends, they were like family. In his free time, he enjoyed going fishing on the shoreline.

Most importantly, Harry liked spending quality time with his family. He will be remembered for his big smile. Harry will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of his loved ones.

Beloved husband of Diane Younglove. Loving father of Kim (Ken) Achauer, April (Bill) Ramsey, Kari (Leonard) Layne, and Doug (Carol) Younglove. Dearest grandfather of Kenny & Clark Achauer, Alicia Younglove, Autum Ramsey, Dakota Daily, Tracy, Allan, Chasity Bastien, and Tiffany Kile. Great-grandfather of Maizie Ramsey and Isabella Harden.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by an infant brother: Tommy Younglove, and a great granddaughter: Tia Ramsey.

Everyone is invited to a visitation at Rupp Funeral Home on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 2:00 until 7:30 pm. A funeral service will take place at the end of viewing at 7:30 pm, officiated by Rev. Larry Detruf. Per family wishes, cremation will take place with scattering of ashes in Oklahoma.
