Edith Erna Plisko, age 89 of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2020 at home under hospice care.

Born on July 5, 1930 in Hamburg, Germany from the union of Fredrick and Martha (Franzke) Groen. Edith grew up and graduated high school in Germany. In 1955, she came over to the United States and became an American citizen. Edith worked for a Refiners Company as a Accounting Clerk for about 25 years.

In Edith's free time she enjoyed making crafts like needlepoint. She was an avid reader and absolutely adored her pets. Most importantly, she loved spending quality time with her family. Edith was loved by all who knew her, and she will be sorely missed She had a huge heart and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Beloved mother of Denise (Mark) Vinciguerra. Loving grandmother of Renee Vinciguerra and Angela (Jonathan) Vinciguerra-Whalen. Dearest sister of Wilma Standish.

Proceeded in death by her parents: Fredrick and Martha Groen.

In accordance with Edith's wishes, cremation will take place. Afterwards she will be buried on the families property with a memorial tree standing in her honor.
