Delores M. Peltier
September 16, 1929 – November 9, 2021

 

 

Delores Mary Peltier, age 92 of Monroe, formerly of Carleton for 48 years, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.

 

Born September 16, 1929, in Newport. She was the third out of ten children of the late Leon and Zettie (Bastien) Cousino. Delores graduated from high school in 1945, where shortly after she when to work at J. L. Hudson.

 

Delores met and married the love of her life: Carl Peltier on September 18, 1948, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rockwood. They raised a family of four children and spent over 67 wonderful years together, before Carl sadly passed in 2015. Delores was a loving homemaker to her husband and children. After their children were grown, both Carl and Delores enjoyed traveling with Overland Travel Bus Tour Company.

 

Delores was a long-time member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church now known as Divine Grace Parish in Carleton. She was a part of their Altar Society and the Our Lady of Victory Guild.  Delores was also apart of the Ash Senior Citizens.

 

In her free time, Delores enjoyed gardening, playing different card games, and baking. In her later years, she watched both Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy shows every day. It was always a precious time, where family would come over and watch it with her. Most importantly, her family meant the world to her. Delores will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.

 

Beloved mother of Linda (Floyd) Hause, William (Sandra) Peltier, Rick (Debra) Peltier, and Carla (Mike) Hasson. Loving grandmother of Holly Hutson, Michelle Runyan, Regena Bartlett, William Peltier, Crystal Kohler, Joshua Cooley, Alyse Pfeiffer, Cody Pressler, David Hasson, Brett Hasson, David Lloyd, and Ciara Hasson. Great grandmother of 17 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Donald Cousino, Theodore (Beverly) Cousino, Janet Venturelli, Patricia (Raymond) Duty, and Wanda (Michael) Bomia. Also survived by sisters in law: Sue Cousino, Vivian Cousino, and Betty Chapman.

 

In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her husband: Carl Peltier; and siblings: Clara Bogielczyk, & Stanley, John, and Daniel Cousino.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Delores are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to ProMedica Hospice.

 

Everyone is invited to a funeral mass on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Divine Grace Parish in Carleton. Delores will lie instate at 10 am with a funeral mass starting at 11 am. Burial will follow to St. Patrick's Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home.
