Dana Lynn Rorke, age 38 of Monroe, passed away peacefully at home under hospice care on Sunday, September 5, 2021.

Dana handled her challenge of cancer with grace, beauty, and positivity that touched more lives than she could ever realize. I believe I can speak for everyone when I say how devastating this news has been. Dana was the embodiment of what a good person should be: a loving mother, a devoted wife, a remarkable daughter, a caring sister, and a loyal friend. Dana was an unrivaled warrior throughout her battle with cancer. She maintained a positive attitude and an unmatched sense of optimism throughout her journey despite the many setbacks and obstacles she faced; something that inspired those around her. Dana lived with a passion for life and endless amounts of positivity. She shared with all of us every struggle, every victory, every great day, and every rough day during her journey. She loved all of you and appreciated all the love and support you all have given.

Born August 31, 1983 in Monroe. She was one of two children of Paul and Denise (Boedicker) England. Dana graduated from Monroe High School in 2001.

Dana met the love her life, Christopher Rorke, in May of 2002. They started dating on September 14 of the same year, and eventually married on July 19, 2008 at the LaSalle Missionary Baptist Church. They had a family of three boys and spent over 13 wonderful years together.

Dana owned and operated her very own small business, called Wooden Lake Designs. She liked to re-purpose and restore old furniture. Dana also made many wooden signs as home decor. In her free time, she also liked to crochet blankets for everyone to enjoy.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and daughter. One of the kindest persons you would ever meet. Her family meant the world to her. Dana will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.

Dana is preceded in death by her grandparents, Dolly and Harding England and James and Roberta Boedicker.

Family and friends may visit from 2pm-7pm at Rupp Funeral Home, on Tuesday September 14, 2021 where a funeral service celebrating Dana's life will be held at 7pm. Rev. Larry Detruf will officiate. In accordance with family wishes, cremation will follow.
