February 3, 1943 - April 17, 2022

Arlene Ann Sharp, age 79 of Monroe, passed away the morning of Sunday, April 17, 2022 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehab.

Arlene was born February 3, 1943 in Toledo, OH to the late Joseph and Clara (Grzeszczak) Zywiczynski. She worked for Monroe-Mason Alternative High School as a “Building Agent”. Arlene married Raymond Sharp on April 8, 1972 in Trilby, OH. Sadly, he passed away on December 16, 2004.

In her spare time, Arlene loved to crochet. She was well known for her afghans. She was a long time, dedicated member of St. Michael's Parish.

To cherish her memory, Arlene leaves her daughter, Rebecca (Louis) Sharp-Marquez, and life long best friend, Judith Lado.

In addition to her parents and husband, Arlene is also preceded in death by her dearest furbaby, Neena.

Family and friends may visit from 6-8pm at Rupp Funeral Home on Sunday, April 24, 2022. Arlene will lie in-state at 10am on Monday, April 25, 2022 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, where a mass will be held at 11am. Father Kishore, Pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Wounded Warrior Project.
