Anna Joyce Rigel

Anna Joyce Rigel “Annie” 88 years old of Monroe, Michigan passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Hampton Manor of Dundee.
She was born on January 1, 1933. Daughter of Oliver and Olive (Lamb) Beaubien. She graduated from Saint Mary’s Academy, Monroe.
Anna married Raymond L. Rigel of Dundee, Michigan on June 2, 1952 in Oceanside, California.
Anna enjoyed fishing, playing cards, crocheting, baking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to the casino, working in the yard with flowers, and working in the garden.
Survivors are her son, Raymond (Mara) Rigel of Manhattan, Montana; daughters: Jenny (Mark) Pipis of Dundee, Michigan and Sandy (Richard) Stritt of Newport, Michigan; and her half-brother Bill Beaubien.
Also survived by her grandchildren, Mark (Dawn) Pipis of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Carissa (Mike) McLaughlin of Farmington Hills, Michigan, Eric (Ally) Rigel of North Charleston, South Carolina, Kelsey (Jerry) Buckmaster of Aurora, Ohio, Stevie Pipis of Okemos Michigan; and a great granddaughter, Alyssa Pipis of Ypsilanti, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Rigel; her parents, Oliver and Olive (Lamb) Beaubien; her brothers, Blaise Beaubien and Thomas Beaubien; her sisters, Ada Miller, Angeline Trapp, Alice Patricia, Doris Austin, Barbara Garett, Elizabeth Weaver, and Dora Hause; and a half-brother, Don Beaubien.
Everyone is invited to a visitation on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Rupp Funeral Home from 2:00 to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Rupp Funeral Home starting at 11:00 am. Burial will follow immediately to Roselawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Anna’s honor are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
