William Charles Burns, age 85, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Sinai Grace Hospital in Detroit.
Bill was born on April 6, 1937, in Detroit to the late Marie K. (Goodnough) Burns. He would go on to meet and marry Marlene Magoon on February 20, 1960 in Detroit. They raised a family of four children and spent over nine years together before her passing in 1969.
Bill made his living as a professional photographer. He eventually started his own business, Michigan Portrait Studio in Wyandotte, which he ran for many years.
To cherish his memory, Bill leaves his four children: Greg (Joanne) Burns, Ray (Beth Anne) Burns, Brian (Catherine) Burns, and David Burns; and six grandchildren. Bill is preceded in death by his mother, Marie Burns, and past spouse, Marlene Burns.
In accordance with Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place with burial of cremains at Holy Sepulchre in Southfield, Michigan. A memorial mass will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home.
