Vicki Yount Obituary

Vicki Lynn Yount, age 56, passed away on December 16, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on July 12, 1969, to the late Vivian and William Yount, Vicki lived a life rooted in simplicity, gratitude, and love—much like her parents before her. She found joy in the small, steady rhythms of everyday life: a fresh pot of coffee in the morning, sunshine warming her face, and tuning into her favorite Luke Bryan, Kid Rock and Post Malone songs. She also enjoyed being with her girls to play their monthly Bunco games, laughing and creating memories.

Vicki’s greatest happiness came from being a mom and grandmother. Her grandchildren—Espen, Liam, and her newest granddaughter, Novalee—were the center of her world. She cherished every moment with them, attending events, cheering them on, doing special things with them and embracing the Grandma title with pride and devotion. Family was the heart of Vicki’s life. She loved family canoe trips, backyard bonfires and spending time with the love of her life, Randy. A younger Vicki never missed a chance to sing if a karaoke machine was nearby. Vicki had a very special relationship with her oldest daughter, Christina whom she loved with her heart, soul and mind and would do anything to see her happy and thrive. Their closeness was a very treasured relationship of Vicki’s life.

Vicki is survived by her loving partner, Randy LaChance; her daughter, Christina (Darryl) of Monroe; her son, Brian of Fayetteville Arkansas; her grandchildren Espen, Liam, and Novalee; her brothers Michael (Renee) Yount of Newport, Steve (Rhoda) Yount of Newport, and Mark (Sandy) Yount of Monroe; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply and was incredibly proud of. Vicki also is survived by many friends and family members who cared for her beyond measure.

She is preceded in death by her son Joshua Yount; her parents Vivian and William Yount; her paternal grandmother Louise Hill; and her maternal grandparents Theresa and Harold Weinstein.

Vicki will be remembered for her warmth, her unique laugh, her unwavering love for her family, and the simple joys that made her life so meaningful. Even though she faced sickness and health battles over her lifetime, her strength and determination didn’t get in the way of her positive outlook on life. It is admired by all.
