July 3, 1995 – April 18, 2021

Tevin Lavell Ney-Wilkerson, age 25 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at ProMedica Regional Hospital of Monroe.

Born July 3, 1995 in Trenton. He is the son of Jennifer Barth and the late Herman Wilkerson. Tevin went to and graduated from Orchard High School in 2013. Tevin was a former member of St. Joseph Church of Monroe, where he had his first communion.

After high school, Tevin devoted his time working at the Macomb Residential Opportunities, Inc. in Monroe for 8 years as a Direct Care Worker. He enjoyed making sure that his clients were well taken care of. Tevin made special bonds with many of the clients he cared for over his many years there.

During his free time, Tevin enjoyed spending his quality time with family and friends, including kids. He liked to eat out and play music over Alexa. Tevin was known for his big personality, he liked to prank everyone in the family and have a good time.

Most importantly, Tevin was always kindhearted, dedicated, and giving to anyone in need. He always thought of everyone before taking care of himself. He would always call his grandparents to check in on them and be there if they needed. He will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of his loved ones.

Beloved son of Jennifer and Michael Barth. Loving brother of Ganessa (Brian Boudrie) Ney, Victoria Barth, Dylan Barth, and Trayvond Bridges. Dearest uncle of Kyler Ney, with another nephew on the way. Dear grandson of Vera Yancey and Bob & Paula Ney.

Preceded in death by his father: Herman Wilkerson, grandparents: Sally & Jim Barth, and uncle: Joseph Barth.

Everyone is invited to a visitation on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Rupp Funeral Home from 12:30 to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Dunbar Road Church of Christ of Monroe. Tevin will lie instate at 10 am with the funeral service starting at 11 am. Officiating is Andre King. Burial will follow immediately to Roselawn Memorial Park.
