Ted Clifford Evans Sr.

November 1, 1948 – February 18, 2021

Ted Clifford Evans Sr., age 72 of Monroe, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the Orchard Villa in Oregon, Ohio.

Born November 1, 1948 in Monroe. He was the son of Robert and Rosemary (Barron) Evans. Ted was a 1966 graduate of Mason High School. He started working as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. After 22 years as a Maintenance Supervisor, he retired in January 2020 from the Salvation Army Harbor Light in Monroe.

Ted met the love of his life: Donna Dusseau. They got married on September 12, 1992 at Good Shephard Lutheran Church of Monroe. They spent over 28 wonderful years together.

In Ted’s free time, you could find him out fishing, boating, and watching football on TV. He was avid Detroit Lions fan. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending his quality time with his family. Ted loved having family gatherings where he was famous for his barbecue chicken for all to enjoy. He will be dearly missed and cherished in the hearts of his loved ones.

Beloved husband of Donna Evans. Loving father of Lori (Norm) Braden, Ted Evans Jr., Georgia (Thomas) Friar, and stepsons: Brian and Bradley Dusseau. Dearest grandfather of Alexa (Chad) McLellan, Thomas (Megan) Friar, Grayson Friar, and Terry Evans. Dear brother of Scot (Deborah) Evans. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Ted is preceded in death by his daughter: Dallas Evans, father: Robert Evans, mother: Rosemary LaVigne, and stepfather: Myron LaVigne.

Due to Covid-19, Per family’s wishes, all funeral services will be private and for family only. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home. Burial will follow services to Roselawn Memorial Park.
