Susan Ann (Frederick) Gasper, age 70 of Monroe, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

Born June 6, 1954, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Rebottaro) Frederick. She attended Monroe High School, graduating with the class of 1972 and had a long career in medical reception. On October 16, 1995, Susan married the love of her life, Alan Gasper, in Monroe. She was preceded in death by Alan, who passed away on March 10, 2025.

Above all else, Susan enjoyed spending time with her large extended family. In recent years, she had overcome her fear of flying and had enjoyed traveling with her sister, niece, and great-nephew. She was led by her unwavering faith in God and her love for those around her. She was a second mom to many and loved taking care of her loved ones.

To cherish her memory, Susan leaves behind her son, Robert (Melissa) Shankleton of La Salle, Michigan; step-son Adam (Abigail) Gasper of Paw Paw, Michigan; siblings William (Susan) Frederick of Tecumseh, Michigan, Rita Frederick of Maybee, Michigan, and Mary Beth (William) Savage of Milan, Michigan; grandchildren Brian, Wyatt, Wesley, Rowan, and Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and services celebrating his life will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home.

Susan was a long-time benefactor to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and memorial contributions can be made there in her name.
