Sharon Louise Wise, age 72 of Monroe, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Medilodge of Monroe Nursing Home.

Born November 14, 1952 in Baraga, MI. Sharon was the daughter of the late Dominic and Pearl (Curtis) Picciano. She graduated from Baraga High School in 1970. She continued her education at a beauty school at Lake Superior State University.

Sharon was a loving homemaker to her three children growing up. She was a proud lifetime member of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community. Her favorite past time was playing Bingo and she was often heard saying “cha ching cha ching” while playing the slots at the casino. Sharon will be remembered for being a mom to any kid, she welcomed everyone into her home with open arms. She will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.

Beloved mother of Joseph (Kimberly) Wise, Sherri (Michael) LeBrun, and Michelle (Emilio) Mendoza. Loving grandmother of Tyler Jennings, A’lyssa Sargent, Dominic Wise, Joselynne Wise, and Jacob Toussaint. Great grandmother of Roland, Viviana, Everett, and Navie. Dear sister of Shirley Stevens, LeRoy Picciano, Barbara Jones, Debra Picciano, and Kerry Picciano.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by brothers: Terry and Dominic Picciano; and sister: Darlene Picciano.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home from 4 to 6:30 pm. At 6:30 pm, anyone that would like to share a special memory or story will be invited to do so at that time.
