Sharon M. Kennedy
December 27, 1945-October 14, 2023
Sharon Marie Kennedy, age 77 of Monroe, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family after a brief, but courageous fight with breast cancer.
Sharon was born December 27, 1945 in Toledo, OH to the late Chester and Stephanie (Zych) Michalski. She attended Stautzenberger College, following her graduation from DeVilbiss High School. Sharon worked at Hardy and Dischinger where she met the love of her life, Rolan Kennedy in 1969. She then married her soul mate on June 14th, 1969 in Toledo, OH. She was a cashier for many years at Target, but her true calling was to be a home maker. The two of them would go on to build a loving home and raise their two children. Above all other things, Sharon loved spending time with her family and friends, particularly her grandkids and great grandkids who all held a special place in her heart.
To cherish her memory, Sharon leaves her loving husband, Rolan Kennedy; her two sisters Vickie (Randy) Zeman and Deborah Gutierrez; her son, Jeff (Stephanie) Kennedy; her daughter, Tina Kennedy; her five grandchildren: Devyn (Megan) Kennedy, Alexis (Ethan) Heck, Samantha, Jordin, and Joshua; and her four great grandchildren: Harper, Atley, Skylar and Aurora and her beloved tea cup yorki, Cody.
Family and friends may visit from 2-8pm on Tuesday October 17, 2023 at Rupp Funeral Home, where a celebration of life will be held on Wednesday October 18, 2023 at 1pm. Rev. Larry Detruf will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
