Ruby Geraline (Lingar) Dye

Ruby G. Dye, age 93, of Monroe went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 4, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Ruby was born to the late Lucy (Burke) and Oscar Lingar in Harrogate, TN on November 8, 1929. On April 26, 1948 Ruby married the love of her life the late James Dye and the two enjoyed 63 years of marriage together.
Ruby was known for her Love of Jesus and being a strong woman of faith. Ruby was a member of the Bible Fellowship Church. Ruby spent her life as a homemaker and was blessed to be able to raise 5 children. Though she was not a woman that watched a lot of television, she enjoyed watching “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy” when she got the opportunity. In her younger days, Ruby and her husband loved to garden together. Ruby enjoyed cooking, babysitting her grandchildren, and doing word searches and jigsaw puzzles with them. She often would cook for church luncheons and was known for her cooking because she made everything from scratch.
Left to cherish Ruby’s memory are son, Dennis (Laura) Dye, daughters; Brenda Dye, Denise (Jim) Stevenson, Linda (Harlan) Leutz and Natalie (Eric) Sprau, brothers, Bill (Jerry) Lingar, Don (Nancy Jones) Lingar and Ted Lingar, sisters, Opal (Norm, dcd) Kohler and Judy (Bob) DeSloover, grandchildren, Jessica (Jory) Manis, Tori (Eddy) Edmonds and Jadyn Sprau, great-grandchildren, Colson Manis and Parker Manis, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by sisters, Wilma (Al) Vore and Annette (Wilson, dcd) Taylor.
The Family is having a private funeral service for Ruby. The Rupp family is honored to be assisting the family of Ruby in their time of need.
