Rosemary L. Jacobs, age 79 of Petersburg, Mi, passed away on September 27, 2023.

Born on December 24, 1943, in Monroe, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy

(LaPointe) Ziegler. She graduated from Mason High School in Erie, Mi, in 1964. She married the

love of her life Dean Jacobs on September 16, 1978. Together they enjoyed eating out at

Poppa’s Place and American Table. You could find them Honkey Tonkin, and playing Euchre on

the weekends. Rosemary loved music, couponing and spending time with her family. She loved

her brother-in-law's dog Chevy. They had a special bond as they shared a birthday. She loved

her sweets. She would always eat dessert first. Turtles, Reese’s Cups, and Anise Christmas

cookies were some of her favorites.

Rosemary was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Temperance, Michigan.

Rosemary is survived by a brother Richard (Sharon) Ziegler of Monroe; and two sisters,

Ruthann (William) Brown of Monroe, and Carol Ameye of Monroe; and cherished by many

nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, Rosemary was also preceded in death by her sister’s

Theresa (Mike) McMullen,and Shirley Ziegler. Her three brothers, Austin (Linda Lou), Kenneth

(Linda), and Robert (Mary Joyce) Ziegler.

Family and friends may visit Monday October 2, 2023 at Rupp Funeral home from 3pm to 7pm,

with the Rosary at 6pm. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday October 3, 2023, at St.

Anthony’s Catholic Church in Temperance, Mi. She will lie in state at 10am, with mass at 11.

Father Slaton will officiate the mass. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle
