Rosa Lee Robinson
April 7, 1943 - April 24, 2022
ROSA LEE ROBINSON (HIGDON-HANCOCK) - 79 of Monroe, Michigan went Home to be with the Lord Sunday morning, April 24, 2022.
In her spare time, Rosa loved to sew. She was well known for her beautiful quilts. She was a member of Union Street Missionary Baptist Church of Monroe.
Rosa was a beloved wife and mother. She is preceded in death by her step daughter Jennifer Robinson; parents, James Buford and Alice M. (Tarwater) Hancock; brothers, James Buford, Charles, Dennis, Eugene and Don; sisters, Marie, Alice, Bobbie, Barbara, Carol and Cynthia; step sister Brenda (Reno) Bourff; and grandparents, Bruce Hancock and Emma Jane Pollard, Bartholomew Tarwater and Eva Houk.
She is survived by her husband James Roger “Skip” Robinson; daughter Dora (Charles) Kelley; sons, Gerald (Amy) Higdon, Mario (Krystal) Higdon and Keith (Tammy) Higdon; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother Eddie Hancock; sister Janie (Hancock) Whaley; stepbrother, Tommy Reno; and stepsisters, Wanda (Reno) Byrd and Judy (Reno) Caldwell.
Visitation will be held at Rupp Funeral Home in Monroe, MI on Friday April 29, 2022, at 1:00 PM. Funeral Services are at 3:00 PM, followed by a short gravesite service at Roselawn Cemetery in LaSalle, MI. Rosa Lee’s son Rev. Gerald Higdon will officiate.
