Ronald “Bud” Golubic
November 18, 1929 – November 22, 2022
Ronald Joseph Golubic, also known as Bud, age 93 of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the Alice Lorraine Care Center.
Born November 18, 1929 in Newton Falls, Ohio, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Kefurt) Golubic. Bud graduated from Monroe High School in 1947. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1950 to 1951. Bud made his living as a manager at the Michigan Gas Utilities for over 30 years before retiring.
Bud met and married Barbara Durocher on September 17, 1955 at St. Mary Catholic Church. They raised a family of three children and spent over 67 years together.
Bud was the husband of Barbara May Golubic, and the father of Thomas Golubic of Fortine, Montana, Ann (Douglas) Bennitt of St Joseph, MI, and Susan Golubic of Holland, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by siblings: Barbara Walters and Thomas Golubic.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial mass at St. Mary Catholic Church of Monroe at a later date. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Bud are suggested to the Salvation Army or the Knights of Columbus Good Fellows.
