Ronald L. Zeitz

Ronald Louis Zeitz, age 87, passed away on July 13, 2023, at Promedica Hospital in Monroe. Ronald was born July 15, 1935, to the late Leslie Conrad and Rose Ann (Mental) Zeitz in Monroe, MI. On June 28, 1958, Ronald married his late wife Pauline Sweat at the Trinity Lutheran Parsonage with Rev. Herbert B. Feller officiating. Ronald was also survived by his significant other Dolly Woods

Ronald served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era and spent 18 months oversees fighting for America, Ronald retired from the Holcim Cement Co. in 1998 after 20 years of service.

Ronald was a member of the Ohio Gun Collectors, the Maumee Valley Gun Collectors, Michigan Antique Arms Collectors, the Huron Gun Collectors, the Lake Erie Fowlers and a lifetime member of the NRA. Collecting guns was a Passion of Ronalds and kept him busy throughout the years. Ronald also enjoyed the outdoors and hunting.

Ronald is survived by Sisters-in-law Vicky Paolino, Joan “Judy” Gramlich and Clara Fisher, Nephews Teddy (Robbin), Michael and Mark (Linda) Zeitz. Along with many great nieces and nephews.

Ronald was preceded in death by brother, Douglas Charles Zeitz and Grandparents, Charles and Mary Zeitz and Louis Frank and Anna H. Mental.

Friends and family may call Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from 12p until 7p with the funeral service taking place the following day Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 11a with Pastor Larry Detruf officiating all at the Rupp Funeral Home. The committal service will take place immediately following the funeral at Roselawn Memorial Park. The Rupp family is honored to be assisting the family of Ronald in their time of need.
