Ronald W. Oberleiter

Ronald William Oberleiter, age 85 of Carleton, passed away the evening of Saturday October 10, 2020 at home under the care of his loving wife.
Ronald was born November 25, 1934 in Carleton, MI as the only son from the union of the late William and Agnes (Mandelka) Oberleiter. He graduated from Catholic Central in 1952 before proudly serving in the United States Army from 1954-1956. Ronald worked for 41 years at Detroit Edison as a customer service representative, retiring June 4, 1995.
Ronald would meet and marry Janice Staley on September 26, 1959 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. The two of them recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. In his spare time, Ronald love to fish, and could be often found up north with his best friend of more than 30 years, Art Walblay, on Lake Emma in Hawks, MI.
To cherish his memory, Ronald leaves his wife, Janice; four children: Martin (Denise) Oberleiter, Regena (Brian) Woodhull, Bradley (Stacy) Oberleiter, and Matthew Oberleiter; seven grandchildren: Jason (Elisha) Woodhull, Jeremy (Karley) Woodhull, Megan (Dustin) Hensley, Jessica Oberleiter, Kelly Oberleiter, Kyle Oberleiter, and Kayla Oberleiter; and five great grandchildren: Riley Woodhull, Ashtyn Hensley, Autumn Woodhull, and twins Ronald and Philip Woodhull.
In accordance with Ronald's wishes, he will have a private Mass at Divine Grace, Carleton, followed by burial at St. Patrick Cemetery.
