Ronald A. Marshall
February 21, 1947 - May 13, 2021
Ronald Allen Marshall, age 74 of Monroe, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 13, 2021.
Born February 21, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio, Ron was one of six children of the late Theodore and Kathryn (Schultz) Marshall. Ron graduated from Jefferson High School in 1965. He then continued his education at Cleary College to receive his bachelors in business. Ron proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1970.
Ron met the love of his life Dorothy and were married on December 18, 1983 at Dunbar Road Church of Christ of Monroe. They raised their family of two sons and spent over 20 wonderful years together before Dorothy's passing in 2007. Both Ron and Dorothy enjoyed traveling with one another as well as going to concerts and games. They visited 49 out of 50 states.
Ron was an investigator at the Monroe County Friend of the Court for over 20 years before retiring. Ronald was also a part of several sportsman’s clubs and he never missed an opening day of deer season. In Ron's free time, he enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and hockey. Ron also liked playing a good game of golf.
Most importantly, Ron treasured his time with his family, in particular his grandkids. He would always be there and root them on at any sporting event. He will be remembered for his kind and considerate personality. Ron was selfless and also thought of everyone else besides himself first. He will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of his loved ones.
