Roland “Rollie” Allen Laura III, age 49 of Maybee, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 22, 2023.

Born June 21, 1974 in Monroe. He was the son of the late Roland A. Laura Jr. and Pamela D. (McLaughlin) Roof. Rollie attended Monroe High School and later received his GED. He worked as a long time Carpenter and skilled tradesman for about 30 years.

In his free time, Rollie enjoyed playing pool, drawing and video games. He really enjoyed riding on his motorcycle and rode with a group. Rollie had a great sense of humor and loved to just laugh, sometimes just being the biggest goober. He will be remembered for his joy, talent and love of family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children Winter (Josh Willis) Laura and Russell (Shayleigh) Goodale. His Sister Denise (Paul) Palmer and brothers Erik (Ellie) Roof, Jason Roof, Jeff (Michelle) Nidiffer, and David Laura. His grandmother Peggy Grissom. Nieces and Nephews Sabastian, Kevin, Justine, Grant, Shayne, Nicklaus, Joshua, Julia, Gaberail, and Cecilia. Great uncle of Aubrey. Stepson of Marie Laura and Steven Roof. Also survived by his loving companion: Denise Sharrow.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Rylee Willis; His parents Roland A. Laura Jr. and Pamela D. (Mclaughlin) Roof, and grandparents: Roland A. Laura Sr. and Dolores Olsen; and grandfather: Richard C. McLaughlin.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial gathering in his honor on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Munson Park at 2770 N.
