Robert "Bob" Spencer Farris

Robert "Bob" Spencer Farris, age 64 of Monroe, passed away the morning of Sunday August 29, 2021 at Fountain View of Monroe.
Bob was born November 18, 1956 in Dayton, OH to the late Spencer and Fayetta (Parrish) Farris. He graduated high school and then obtained his Associates Degree in Secondary Education, specializing in History. Bob proudly served his country by serving in the United States Navy. Upon returning to civilian life, Bob began a life and a family.
For much of his life, Bob was a DJ. He was also a published author, a collector of sports cards, and a master of all trades. Above all else, Bob was a dedicated father, grandfather, and Ohio State Buckeye fan.
To cherish his memory, Bob leaves his son, Michael (Amanda) Farris; two daughters, Stephanie and Tara Farris; two brothers, Jim and Eric Farris; two sisters, Vicki Wollet and Wendy Farris; nine grandchildren: Rebecca, Lisabeth, Michael, Jasmine, George, Donald, Gabby, Naomi, and Zoey.
Along with his parents, Bob is also preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie and Tim Farris, and his sister, Nancy.
Family and friends are welcome to visit from 11am-1pm at Rupp Funeral Home on Friday September 3, 2021 where a funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 1pm. Dennis Green, Bob's life long friend, will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at Woodland Cemetery, Monroe.
