Richard Duane Harrell

June 18, 1940 – December 22, 2021

Richard Duane Harrell, passed away on December 22, 2021 at his home in Knoxville, TN at the age of 81 years old.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, James Arthur and Annie Love Harrell. He was also predeceased by his wife, Carolyn Harrell and the mother of his children, Beverly Gaye Harrell. His siblings Lewis, Ernest, William Clinton Harrell, Sharon Reynolds, and Shirley Harrell also preceded him in death.

He was a graduate of Middlesboro High School in Middlesboro, Ky. After 30 years of service, he retired from Chrysler Trenton Engine Plant in Trenton, Mi. Richard was a member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN.

He is survived by his children, Willard (Heather) Harrell of Lexington, KY, Gaye Lyn (Roy Wingfield) Ledington, Terry (Tabatha) Harrell of Corbin, KY, and Jennifer (Michael) Sedam of Port Byron, IL. Sister, Darlyne Vietor of Texas. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by his canine companions, Rocky and Riley.

He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins and neighbors who were all special to him.

Everyone is invited to a visitation on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Rupp Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will take place on Friday, December 31, 2021, at Rupp Funeral Home starting at 11 am. Burial will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park.
