Renee Marie Hunter

October 15, 1963 - March 11, 2025

Renee Marie Hunter, nee LaPrad, 61, of Monroe MI, passed away on 3/11/2025 surrounded by loving family.

Renee was born 10/15/1963 in Monroe, MI, the daughter of Marvin LaPrad and Sharon LaPrad, nee Clark.

Renee graduated from Monroe High School in 1981 and married her high school sweetheart Alexander E. Hunter II (Sandy) in 1984 at St. Michael’s the Archangel Parish.

Renee worked in Material Handling at Ford Motor company and was proud to be a part of the Mustang Launch team. She retired in 2024.

Following retirement, she found joy in dehydrating her own food, camping, and defeating her family members in Dr. Mario.

She will be remembered by many for her helpful and charitable nature. She is called “mom” by many more than just her two children. She loved taking part in cooking, bingo, boating, camping, and traveling. Her most cherished memories were traveling to Europe or the Caribbean with her family.

Remaining to cherish Renee’s memory are spouse, Alexander (Sandy); children, AJ and Megan; grandchildren, Haley and Emilia; Mother, Sharon LaPrad; brother, Marvin LaPrad II.

Preceding Renee in death is her father, Marvin LaPrad.

 There will not be an open visitation, but Memorial donations in Renee’s memory may be directed to the American Red Cross.
