Regina Rae Richardson
December 13, 1970 – January 18, 2026
Following a courageous battle with cancer, Regina Rae Richardson, age 55 of Monroe, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, January 18, 2026.
Born December 13, 1970, in Monroe to Robert and Ruth (Watkins) Richardson. Regina grew up involved in the Monroe County 4H Program where she showed her woodworking skills. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1989. She continued her education at Ross Business Institute where she earned a certification as a computer office specialist and later graduated with her welding degree in 1991.
Regina met and married the love of her life, Joenathan Brownlee. They were together for over a decade before getting married and spending many wonderful years together.
In her free time, Regina enjoyed entertaining and having everyone all together. She also had a talent for writing short stories. She was a great cook and made plenty of homemade recipes including her famous dishes like her meatloaf, pizza, and boneless chicken breast.
Regina loved music and her talent for playing the acoustic guitar demonstrated just that. Regina was an avid Rock n Roll fan. She loved to jam out and dance to Aerosmith and Jimi Hendrix. Regina will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones. As Regina would say, “Catch ya on the flip side.”
Beloved wife of Joenathan Brownlee. Loving mother of Cheyenne “Bula” (Chisomaga) Amadi, Zachary (Sanjuanita) Dick, Cheyra Dick, Alora Dick, and Jovan Kelley. Loving grandmother of Ezrah, Areigha, and Alexander Amadi. Dear sister of Renee Richardson and Robert A. Richardson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews including Cook, Moe, Lushis, and Mel.
In addition to her parents, Regina was preceded in death by her Aunt Myrna Watkins.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Rupp Funeral Home from 1 until the time of service at 7 pm. Officiating is Deacon Mike Stewart. Cremation will conclude services.
