Patricia A. Uszynski

Patricia Ann Uszynski, age 78 of Shelbyville, KY, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022, at the Shelbyville Hospital in Kentucky.

Born September 17, 1943, in Monroe. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Lula (Epperson) Poore. Pat graduated from Airport High School in 1961.

Pat met and married the love of her life: Richard “Rick” Uszynski. They raised a family of four children and spent many years together before Rick’s passing in 2009.

Pat worked at Dana Corporation in Quality Control for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Shelby Christian Church in Kentucky. In her free time, Pat enjoyed quilting, crochet, reading, crime shows, casinos, and going on cruises. She will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.

Beloved mother of Gregory Ray (Sue) Thomas and Robin Ann (Chris) Berge. Loving grandmother of Brent (Amber) Thomas, Jennifer Ish, Madeline Thomas, Mallorie Thomas, Cassandra (David) Brenenman, Gregory Thomas II, Chantal Thomas, Andrew Thomas, Felicia Seger, William Seger, Sarah (Alex) Mulac, Thomas Isherwood, Ryley Isherwood, Ash Berge, and Grace Berge. Great grandmother of Gavin, Lucy, Kristian, Colby, Owen, Zander, Gregory III, Addilyn, Tonio, Conor, Mateo, Leigha, Warren, and Braxton. Dear sister of Peggy Barton, Larry Poore, Charlotte Alkire, and Kimberly Kazaluckas.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by husband: Richard Uszynski; son: Leslie Brent Thomas; daughter: Renee Edith Seger; and brothers: Roy and Jackie Poore.

Everyone is invited to a visitation on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Rupp Funeral Home from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. A funeral service will take place after viewing starting at 5 pm. Officiating is Larry Detruf. In accordance with Pat’s wishes, cremation will follow services.
