Patricia K. Korbeck

Patricia Kay Korbeck (Wilson) passed away and went to Heaven Nov 7, 2020 at St Anne Hospital in Toledo, OH in the company of her daughter Nicole Yeary, son Glenn Korbeck, grandchildren Wyatt and Abby Yeary, and her brother Paul Wilson.

Born March 17, 1943 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Glenn and Marjorie Wilson she was the second child of 7 and shared a birthday with her son Glenn.  Kay met her husband Robert “Bob” Korbeck in Detroit, MI, married October 18, 1969, and moved to Monroe, MI in 1974.  Bob worked for Detroit Edison as a supervising operator, retiring in 1998, while Kay stayed at home and raised Glenn and Nicole.  After Bob passed away from cancer suddenly in 1998, Kay worked as a transporter at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Monroe.  She proudly worked long enough to earn a retirement party from the hospital. 

Kay doted on her two black cats Tally and Zoe for many years, saw every episode of her favorite show Friends, played a mean Uno game, and was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Monroe.  She had a beautiful voice and was a member of First Baptist’s choir for many years. 

Kay was kind, humble, caring and laughed easily.  Her smile will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of experiencing it. 

She is survived by her children Glenn Korbeck and Nicole Yeary; her sisters, Nancy Nagy and Wendy Davila; her brothers, Paul Wilson and Glenn Wilson, and their respective families.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years Robert Korbeck, parents, Glen B. and Marjorie Wilson, her sister, Jane Buckman, and brother Mike Wilson.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3-5 p.m. Friday, June 11, at First Baptist Church, 1602 N Custer Rd, Monroe, MI 48162.  A Memorial Service will be held at 5 p.m. with a dinner to follow.
