Olga M. Chambo, age 84, of Monroe, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 3, 2024.

Born November 9, 1939, in Monroe, MI, Olga was the daughter of the late Andrew and Edna (Quillen) Davis. She attended and graduated from Monroe High School with the class of 1956. On April 4, 1959, Olga married the love of her life, Richard Chambo, and together they raised 3 children. Sadly, after 55 years of marriage, Richard passed.

Olga spent a lot of time volunteering at the school library, garden club, and the thrift store, where she met many friends. Olga enjoyed playing Bridge at the Senior Center, dancing, and antiquing. She was a member of the Monroe Historical Society and the Herb Study Group.

Olga devoted her life to taking care of her family, always putting others before herself. She was loving, caring and liked to make people laugh. She always kept her friends and family close. Olga refused to see the darkness in the world. She will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her.

To cherish her memory, Olga leaves her three children, Richard “Scott” (Shirley) Chambo, Wendy LaDuke, and Andrea Duty. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great- great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard, and 4 brothers, James, Junior, Harold Lloyd, and Ernie Davis.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home from 2 until 7 pm. A funeral service in her honor will take place on Monday, November 11 at Rupp Funeral Home beginning at 11am. Olga will be laid to rest immediately following at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle.
