Norman E. Heath, age 93, a lifelong resident of Monroe, passed away at 9: 20 a.m. on July 15, 2024, at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.

Born May 30, 1931, in Monroe, he is the son of the late G. Bent and Artie “Peg” G. Perry. Norman attended Monroe High School, graduating with the class of 1950. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Korean War from May 15, 1951, until his honorable discharge on August 15, 1955. After returning home, Norman went on to marry Audrey Hayes in Angola, IN on November 17, 1956. The two owned and operated several businesses based in the Monroe area until her passing in 2020.

To cherish his memory, Norman leaves two children, Brent R Heath and Holly Marie Loope; eight grandchildren: Glen Loope, Jason Loope, Ashley Loope, Phillip Heath, Bradley Heath, Scott Evans, Salina Evans, and Katlyne Heath; and a host of great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

In addition to his wife and parents, Norman was preceded in death by two children, Bert R. Heath and Norma Jean Heath and three siblings: Ralph Thornton Heath, Hazen Junior Heath, and Pollyann Elizabeth Carr. 

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and his cremated remains will be inurned at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
