Neal R. Spaulding, age 87, of Monroe, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.

Born April 2, 1936 in Comstock Park, Michigan, he was the son of the late Raymond and Emma (White) Spaulding. Neal attended and graduated from Comstock Park High School and went on to serve his country honorably as a part of the Navy Reserves. He made his living as a bus driver for NorthStar, Toledo Transit and Monroe Lake Erie Transit and continued as a Newspaper Courier for over 30 years.

Neal was an avid golfer and quite an accomplished craftsman. He cherished his grandchildren and will be missed dearly.

To cherish his memory, Neal leaves his children: Jim (Terry) Spaulding, Tim (Ann) Spaulding, Tom Spaulding, John (Suzan) Spaulding, and David Spaulding; Stepsons: Randy (Denise) Tevepaugh, Michael Tevepaugh, and Richie Tevepaugh; a twin brother, Nyle Spaulding; 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary; sisters: Leatrice and Shirley; a brother, Raymond Spaulding; and a stepson, Daniel Tevepaugh.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 12 until 4 pm at Rupp Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place a 4 pm with Pastor Roy Southerland officiating.
