Nancy L. Ferguson

June 15, 1954 – October 21, 2020

Nancy Ferguson was born on June 15, 1954 to Barbara and Stanley Czarniewski in Dearborn, MI. She was raised with her brother Donald Czarniewski in Monroe, MI. After graduating from St. Mary's Academy in 1972 she attended college for a few years before joining the US Army. While serving in the Army, she met and married the love of her life, Paul Ferguson, a sailor stationed nearby. 

After their marriage and a few moves and three children later, the family settled in Virginia Beach, VA. Nancy was many things to us: a loving mother, a proud Navy wife, dutiful daughter and sister, and a veteran. She was a fierce defender of her family and was the glue that kept us together. 

Later, as her parents' health began to fail, she moved back to Monroe to help care for them. In recent years one of her greatest joys was traveling down to Virginia to see her boys and the friends she had made in her years there.

Nancy joined her loving husband Paul and her parents in heaven on October 21, 2020. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons Ian (Ashaki), Kirk, and Glen (Kristen), all of Virginia Beach, her granddaughters Anneliese and Lorelei, her brother Donald of Monroe, and special friends Linda Estep, Charlotte Frary, and Janet Anne Rhodes. 

The family wishes to thank the compassionate medical team at Promedica Monroe for their loving care for Nancy in her later days.
