Merlyn “Skip” E. Kuehnlein

Merlyn “Skip” Edward Kuehnlein, age 68 of Monroe, passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2022.
Born August 22, 1953, in Monroe, Merlyn was the son of the late Merlyn and Irene (Sebesta) Kuehnlein. Merlyn attended Monroe High School before enlisting in the United States Army in January of 1971.
Upon returning home from the Army, Merlyn established his own concrete business, Kuehnlein Home Improvement. He dedicated many years to his business and eventually retired after 40 years.
Merlyn married the love of his life, Susan Rishe, on March 6, 1999, in Jamaica. They spent over 23 wonderful years together. The two enjoyed camping in their RV, especially in Frankenmuth.
To cherish his memory, Merlyn leaves his loving wife, Susan; his three loving fur babies: Cooper, Abby, and Ozzie; and numerous relatives and friends. Merlyn is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial donations in honor of Merlyn may be made to the Monroe County Humane Society.
In accordance with Merlyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a memorial service at a later date. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to www.ruppfuneralhomeinc.com
