Martha Goodale, age 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 17, 2023.

Born June 6, 1938, in Monroe Michigan, Martha was the daughter of the late Stanley and Marie (Mogle) Goodale. She attended Monroe High School and graduated with the class of 1956. Martha earned her living as a Claims Clerk for Jones Transfer Trucking for more than 37 years and went on to retire from La-Z-Boy.

Martha was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Monroe Senior Center. She loved and cherished spending time with her family. Martha was a very accomplished pianist and enjoyed music very much. She enjoyed playing cards and also loved to bowl, whether it be in her leagues or playing in tournaments. She will be missed by many.

To cherish her memory, she leaves two sisters, Barbara Stininger and Christina Pitcher, and many nieces and nephews.

Martha is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Goodale, two sisters, Shirley Ferguson and Virginia Stininger, four brothers-in-law, Howard Pitcher, W.E. Ferguson and Calvin and Melvin Stininger, and a sister-in-law, Janet Goodale.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Rupp Funeral Home from 2 until 7 pm. A service in her honor will take place at 7 pm at Rupp with Pastor Greg Sitzman officiating. Martha will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park.
