Marsha Lynn Lyons, age 57 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

Born August 26, 1966, in Monroe. She was the daughter of the late Robert Sr. and Mary (Bressler) Lyons. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree, she became a caregiver for many years.

Marsha married Cheval Carter in 1993 and together they had three children.

Marsha was known for her wild colored hair, being outgoing, and very outspoken. She was always there to help a friend in need. Most importantly, she will be remembered for being a great mom and loved being a grandmother. She will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.

Beloved mother of Danyelle Carter of Toledo, Cheval Carter of Newport, and Hunter Lyons of Monroe. Loving grandmother of Noah Cashen and Kehlani Carter. Dear sister of Floyd Butch Lyons, Vickie (Courtney) Flynn, Charles Olsen, Mindy (Eric) Russeau, and Robert (Heather) Lyons.

Marsha was preceded in death by her parents.

Everyone is invited to a visitation on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home from 1 to 7 pm. The funeral service will be on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Rupp starting at 12 noon. Officiating is Rev. Larry Detruf.  Cremation will conclude services.

Memorial donations in honor of Marsha are suggested to the donor’s choice of charity.
