Margaret L. Duke, age 91 of Monroe, passed away the evening of Thursday July 13, 2023 at Fountain View of Monroe.

Margaret was born August 14, 1931 in New Kensington, PA to the late Joseph and Angeline (Tamburo) Pace. She attended Jefferson High School in Lafayette, IN where she graduated with her High School diploma. Margaret would go on to meet and marry the love of her life, William H. Duke. Sadly, William predeceased Margaret.

Margaret was a homemaker, caring for her and her husband’s home while raising their three children. In her spare time, Margaret was an avid bowler. She also enjoyed knitting, camping, and working concessions at the kid’s sporting and extracurricular events. Above all else, Margaret was extremely dedicated to her family. She loved to spend time with everyone, particularly all of her dear grandchildren.

To cherish her memory, Margaret leaves her three children: Terri (Dale) Stein, William J. (Jill Herbert) Duke, and Nancy (Ronald) Duke-Burt; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Everyone is welcome to attend a graveside Celebration of Life for Margaret at 11am on Monday August 14, 2023 at Beaver Creek Township Cemetery in Crawford County, MI.
