Madeleine I. Eby

March 24, 2002 – February 1, 2023

Madeleine Isabella Eby (Mia), aged 20, of Maybee passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at home.

Mia was born on March 24, 2002 in Detroit, Michigan. She attended Airport High School, graduating in 2020.

Mia was a member of Divine Grace Parish where she was baptized, received First Communion, made her Confirmation, served as an assistant to the DRE, and was an altar server. She was a member of AHS Upward Bound, and she received her varsity letter in track, basketball, and marching band.

Mia was kind and gentle, and she loved to draw and paint. Her greatest joy (and accomplishment) was her adventure working on the south rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona during the summer of 2022.

Mia is survived by her parents, Thomas and Valerie; sisters Stephanie (Michael) Cullum, Catherine Eby, Kimberly Eby, Anastasia (Ashank) Rai, Alexandra (Shane) Dudek, Zalonya Eby, Jameira Eby, Karen Eby, Rose McMillion; brothers Tyjuan Osby, Hakeem Osby, Daniel Osby, Jamar Osby, Jhuel White;  grandparents, Donald and Patricia Earhart; 12 nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and friends.

She was preceded in death by Daniel and Shirley Eby, Arthur Bruck, and a sister, Raven.

She will be greatly missed.            

Family and friends are welcome to a visitation on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Rupp Funeral Home from 2:30 to 8:00 pm with a Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Divine Grace Parish in Maybee. Mia will lie instate from 10:00 to 11:00 am with a funeral mass beginning at 11:00 am. Fr. Steven Hedges will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Maybee.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Madeleine's name may be made to St. Stephen School, New Boston or Holy Ghost Lutheran School, Monroe.
