Lyle F. Kull
February 13, 1938-April 11, 2022
Lyle Frederick Kull, age 84 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly the morning of Monday April 11, 2022 in his home.
Lyle was born February 13, 1938 in Monroe, MI to the late Elten and Marion (Hoppert) Kull. During his school years, he bravely joined the United States Navy to serve his country. Upon returning to civilian life, Lyle would go on to meet and marry the love of his life, Maxine Duvall. Lyle would go on to make a life for himself by driving truck and being a union laborer for the Teamsters.
Lyle could often be found on the farm, one of his favorite places to be. He loved to shepherd his flock of sheep. He also enjoyed mowing and tending to his lawn. Lyle was also known for setting turtle traps.
To cherish his memory, Lyle leaves his loving wife, Maxine; two daughters: Juanita (Mark) Barker and Lisa (Tom) Messer; one brother, Albert Kull; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Lyle is also preceded in death by his son, Kevin Kull; and three sisters: Joyce Mullen, Anna Marie Russow, and Carol Langton.
Family and friends may gather from 10am-1pm on Wednesday April 20, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church in Monroe. A memorial service celebrating Lyle’s life will be held at the end of the gathering at 1pm. Pastor Greg Sitzman and Pastor Ross Ulrich will officiate. In accordance with Lyle’s wishes, cremation has occurred.
