Louise M. Legg

Louise Marie Legg, age 82 of Monroe, passed away peacefully with family by her side, on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at her home under hospice care.
Born May 29, 1942 in Monroe. Louise was the daughter of the late Earl and Vera (Gubbini) Fox. Louise graduated from Riverview High School.
Louise met and married the love of her life: Chester Legg on April 2, 1963 in Trenton. Together they enjoyed visiting relatives, playing Bingo and card games. They raised a family of three children and spent over 52 years together before Chester sadly passed away in 2015.
After being a loving homemaker to her husband and children, she started working at the River Raisin Automotive Specialties for about 10 years, retiring in 1998. In her free time, she liked to go out to eat and go thrift store shopping with her daughter. Louise will be remembered as a kindhearted person who was very family oriented. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Beloved mother of Charles Legg, Lisa Braden, and Jim Legg. Loving grandmother of Timothy Ellison, Cory Ellison, and Kimberly Legg. Great grandmother of Roselynn Ellison, Shealynn Eastes, Leia Ellison, Skylar Engle, Averi Ender, and Reese Ender. Dear sister of Samuel (Dena) Hartle.
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by husband: Chester Legg; great grandchild: Franklin Ellison; and brothers: Raymond and John Hartle.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to a memorial gathering on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home from 2:00 pm, until the start of the Celebration of Life service, at 6:00 pm. Officiating is Pastor Terry Braden.
