Louis Randazzo Obituary

Louis Samuel Randazzo

January 26, 1943 – April 6, 2021

Louis S. Randazzo (Sonny) gently passed away at home in his sleep on April 6, 2021.

Sonny was born in Monroe, Michigan on January 26, 1943, the son of Louis F. and Rosella M. Randazzo. He was a lifetime resident of Monroe and a graduate of Monroe High School. Sonny loved cooking and shared that love while owning several pizzerias and running an Italian concession food truck. He had a passion for life and was always looking for ways to be an entrepreneur. Sonny shared his big heart with everyone he met and went out of his way to show it in his unique way. His loving spirit and unique comedic timing will be missed.

Surviving family members are his sister, Jennie (Randazzo) Boznak of Richardson, Texas, and his brother, Victor A. Randazzo of Monroe, Michigan.

Sonny is survived by his longtime friend, Joe Davis; by nieces: Emily Wertenberger of Dundee, Michigan, Brittany (Gia) Randazzo of Dallas, Texas, Natalie Alfred of Decatur, Georgia, Michelle (Boznak) Polito of Debary, Florida, and Melissa (Boznak) Versiga of Eureka Springs, Arkansas.  Nephews: Michael Boznak of Berrien Springs, Michigan, Mark Boznak of Plano, Texas, Brandon Randazzo of Fort Myers, Florida, and Corey Randazzo of Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Rosella, and his brother, Charles Randazzo.  He will be cremated and laid to rest in a columbarium niche next to his brother, Charles, at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery in Monroe, Michigan.

The family is planning a memorial service for a later date.
