Lori Lynn Woelmer, age 59, of Carleton, passed away suddenly at home on June 12, 2025.

She was born on April 29, 1966, in Trenton, Michigan, the oldest daughter of Charlotte and Jerry Woelmer.

Lori attended Holy Ghost Lutheran School, Monroe High School, and Monroe County Community College. She later studied in the Culinary Program at the Art Institute of Michigan. She worked for many years at Cooks Sportland.

A lifelong member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Lori was both baptized and confirmed there.

Lori was known for her love of baking—especially her famous brownies and “Lori treats”—which she generously shared with family, friends, and anyone in need of a sweet treat. She especially enjoyed supplying her niece and nephews with plenty of snacks. Lori was also a proud supporter of University of Michigan sports.

She is survived by her mother, Charlotte Woelmer; two sisters, Teri (Mike) Scznsny of Monroe and Kristi (Ron) Langenderfer of San Diego; a niece, Emma Scznsny; and nephews Drew Scznsny, Jake Langenderfer, and Max Langenderfer.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Woelmer.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home, 2345 S. Custer Road, Monroe, MI 48161 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. Lori will lie in state at 10 a.m. with the service beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. A luncheon will be held in the church gym following the burial.
